🧾 Ingredients
2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old, chilled)
200–250g beef (thinly sliced; flank or sirloin works best)
1 small red onion (sliced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
½ cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans)
2 green onions (chopped)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1–2 tbsp cooking oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: 1 egg (for extra richness)
🔪 Instructions
1. Prep the Beef
Season beef lightly with salt, pepper, and a splash of soy sauce.
Let it sit for 10 minutes.
2. Cook the Beef
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
Stir-fry beef quickly until browned (about 2–3 minutes).
Remove and set aside.
3. Sauté Aromatics
In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
Add garlic and sliced onion, stir-fry until fragrant and slightly softened.
4. Add Vegetables
Toss in carrots and peas.
Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
5. Add Rice
Break up the cold rice and add to the pan.
Stir-fry, pressing and tossing to heat evenly.
6. Combine Everything
Return beef to the pan.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
Mix well so everything is evenly coated.
7. Optional Egg
Push rice to one side, scramble egg on the other side, then mix in.
8. Finish
Add chopped green onions.
Taste and adjust seasoning.
